Review of Parts of Speech and Grammar

  • Use the dictionary if you have questions about conjugating irregular verbs and pluralizing irregular nouns.
  • Choose a pronoun based on the antecedent’s number and gender, and the pronoun’s function in the sentence. Make sure the pronoun clearly refers to an antecedent.
  • Verb tense depends on verb voice, time, continuation, and when the action happened in relation to other events.
  • Adjectives modify nouns and pronouns. Adverbs modify verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs.
